Y'see, for us BR kids, life from 5pm-7pm was the best times of our childhood years.

Today, we realised how important the 'who-score-becomes-keeper' game brought so many of us together.. Football everyday. Playing block catching every other weekends until the police came :P haha we had the best times seriously.

17 December,

That boy at the top, now all grown up,

is gonna go off to US :(

My summer this year kinda sucked when I was in Singapore,

but when he came down, he really made it better :P

Number 11? hahah.

My 'date' with YC also made my night when I was in Malaysia haha

It's really sad now that I won't be seeing YC & ZH together anymore :(

When they're both together with me, they seriously just..make my day.

They've been there for me,

(and I hope I've been there for them - though not all the time, I know)

& they really shape who I am today.

They made my days in Cempaka some of the best..

I know it'd be pointless to write a long ass message to ZH here since he doesn't read my blog (I think?) but it's just here, as a memory.

When you change schools almost every year, it gets lonely. You realise that not everyone really wants to here your 'pity' stories - post-break up stories, how your new school sucks.

I am grateful for a mother and father who loves me and my siblings so much, takes care of us so well and work so hard to give us the best. Alhamdulillah. Bless them.

I am grateful for siblings who are there, esp a sister who I can just shower with hugs and kisses when I feel lonely. Alhamdullilah. Bless them both.

I am grateful for a boyfriend, who is so patient and loving, yet so lovable :P kind, caring, crazy & just absolutely amazing. Bless him.

I am grateful for bestfriends in Malaysia - Liann, Yung Chan, Zhan Hao, Sufan, Jojo - the best. Even though we don't talk as often, they're always there despite it all. Sending all my love back there;) xo

Hope you're all well ♥

So, half term is finally here. Although it's only for a week, I'm very grateful for a break. :) I know that the rest of the term is gonna be real hectic and so, a break for now is good.

I'm going to London this Thursday insyaAllah. Gonna see abang and universities hopefully.. & have a nice break away from this town! :)

Got a visit from an old Malaysian friend on Thursday. Heh she's not changed one bit but I guess it was nice a bit to catch up with someone who actually speaks malay.. & have Lucio with me throughout it all, blasting music into my other ear:P

Then there was sports day on Friday. Sports day here is nothing like sports day in all my other schools lol. Basically here, they play football, basketball, handball & volleyball; ..no having me run 400m, 800m, 1500m, 400mx4 x)

Oh oh, daylight saving time ends at 3am later so back to 7-hr difference with Malaysia :( Dah la 6 hours susah nak catch up with people there.. Now an hour more. No no.
..which also means the cold is coming D:

I'll be stronger this year insyaAllah.

I know mine was.
We had the meanest mother in the whole world!
While other kids ate candy for breakfast,
we had to have cereal, eggs, and toast.

When others had a Coca Cola and chips for lunch,
we had to eat home cooked meals.

And you can guess our mother fixed us a dinner that was
different from what other kids had, too.

Mother insisted on knowing where we were at all times.
You’d think we were convicts in a prison.

She had to know who our friends were
and what we were doing with them.
She insisted that if we said we
would be gone for an hour, we would be gone for an hour or less.

We were ashamed to admit it,
but she had the nerve to break
the Child Labor Laws by making us work.

We had to wash the dishes, make the beds,
learn to cook, vacuum the floor, do laundry,
empty the trash and all sorts of cruel
jobs.
I think she would lie awake at night
thinking of more things for us to do.

She always insisted on us telling the truth,
the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.
By the time we were teenagers,
she could read our minds
and had eyes in the back of her head.
Then, life was really tough!

Mother wouldn’t let our friends just hoot at the gate
when they drove up
They had to come up to the door
so she could meet them.

Because of our mother we missed out
on lots of things other kids experienced.

None of us have ever
been caught shoplifting, vandalizing other people’s
property or ever arrested for any crime.
It was all her fault.

Now that we have left home, we are all educated, honest adults.
We are doing our best to be mean parents just like Mom was.

I think that is what’s wrong with the world today.
It just doesn’t have enough mean moms!’
